At Champion Physical Therapy and Performance in Waltham, we believe everyone is an athlete at heart — and everyone deserves the same elite-level care trusted by professional sports teams. Whether you’re recovering from injury, training for a sport, or just looking to move better, our mission is to help you restore, optimize, and enhance your performance.
Champion was founded by Dr. Mike Reinold and Lenny Macrina, renowned physical therapists and performance specialists with experience working with top-tier organizations like the Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox, and Dr. James Andrews’ American Sports Medicine Institute.
After years of working with world-class athletes, they saw the need for something better than the traditional physical therapy clinic — and built Champion to fill that gap. Our integrated model of physical therapy, sports performance training, and adult fitness brings the same high-performance care used by elite athletes to the active adults and athletes of Waltham and Greater Boston.
Traditional physical therapy and fitness models often fall short. Rushed appointments, generic programs, and minimal one-on-one attention don’t deliver the results you deserve. At Champion Physical Therapy and Performance, we do things differently — because you deserve elite-level care tailored to you. Our mission is grounded in three core principles:
We deliver world-class physical therapy, sports performance training, and adult fitness for driven individuals who want to move, feel, and perform at their best. Our facilities in Waltham and Needham are centers of excellence focused on superior outcomes, client satisfaction, research, and education.
Every client receives a comprehensive assessment, customized plan, and expert coaching to ensure optimal results.
Our programs are built on the latest research, best practices, and cutting-edge tools — and we constantly evolve with the science.
We’re lifelong learners, committed to advancing our knowledge so you can keep advancing your performance.
If you need support beyond our walls, we coordinate care with the best physicians and specialists locally and nationally — ensuring you receive seamless, high-quality support from trusted partners.
We believe in personalized care — not one-size-fits-all solutions. That’s why every client at Champion receives focused, one-on-one attention.
No rushed sessions. No overbooked calendars. Just the time and expertise you deserve.
Your program is designed specifically for your goals, your body, and your lifestyle.
Our hands-on approach emphasizes quality over quantity, with a focus on delivering real, lasting results.
We prioritize outcomes, culture, and your experience — never just revenue or volume.
Our unique model blends physical therapy and performance training into a unified experience. Whether you’re recovering from an injury or pushing to the next level, we’re here for it all.
We guide you through injury recovery with a full plan to return to — and exceed — your prior level of function.
We help you optimize performance not just in the gym, but in your sport and life.
Our integrated team collaborates on your care every step of the way, ensuring consistent communication and aligned goals.
We pride ourselves in our commitments to our patients, clients, team, and community. Every member of our team is determined to uphold our core values in everything we do.
We will provide an elite level experience to exceed expectations by focusing on the client experience, satisfaction, and outcomes. We’re not your typical gym and physical therapy clinic.
We will welcome each patient, client, and staff as a member of our community to help push each other to achieve our goals. That’s what it means to be part of “Team Champion.”
We will have fun at work, but always be professional. Life’s too short to not have a blast every day.
We will always bring our “A” game. We are here to serve our clients with a positive and empathic outlook
We will never stop learning, sharing what we do, and constantly improving together as a team to better serve our clients
We will lead by example by training with a purpose to achieve a healthy and athletic lifestyle, just like our clients
